Adding Sound Files to an Entry
.) First you have to get the sound on your computer, an easy for this is to connect your cassett/cd player up to your computer by using a cable from the cassett/cd headphone jack, to the mic input on your computer.
.) Then you can use the Sound Recorder located in Accessories>Entertainment>Sound Recorder within windows. Record your audio file, and then save it.
.) You then need to convert it to an MP3, the best conversion tool for this is CDex which can be downloaded HERE.
.) After installing CDex run it and select Options>Settings then click the tab names Filenames. Under that tab there is a box that says WAV -> MP3 next to it, this is where it saves the MP3 after it converts it from the wav file you made with the Sound Recorder. After choosing where you would like these to save, click the OK button.
.) Then select the Convert>Convert WAV file(s) to Compressed Audio file(s) and choose the directory where you saved your WAV file created with the Sound Recorder. Select the files you want to convert to MP3 and then hit the Convert Button.
.) Now on Clubhistorian.com, when you try to create an entry there is an Audio field. You need to choose the converted MP3 file, give it a title and then click the Add audio file.
.) You can add as many audio files as you like, but be aware that the larger the audio file is, the longer it takes to upload, sometimes it is better to break the file into parts when creating it with the Sound Recorder and uploading sections at a time.
.) That's It! Now when you view the entry you just made you can listen to the audio files that you have uploaded.
